1. Vehicle Responsibility: The renter, after receiving the vehicle, has complete responsibility for its condition. Upon collection, our agency will inspect the vehicle. The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as received.

 

2. Driver Requirements: Minimum age of 21 years. The driver is required to hold a valid Driver's License obtained at least one year prior to the rental date. Citizens of non-EU countries are required to present a valid International Driver's License alongside their regular Driver's License.

 

3. Traffic Violations and Fines: All traffic violations and fines are the sole responsibility of the Renter, plus an additional administrative fee to the company.

 

4. Minimum Rental Period: The minimum rental period is 3 days. Rentals of 1 or 2 days are available upon request and subject to adjusted pricing.

 

5. Means of Payment: The Renter may pay by credit or debit card, cash, or via PayPal. A deposit of 30% of the total rental amount is required at the time of booking confirmation. The remaining balance is due upon vehicle collection. Card and PayPal payments are processed securely.

 

6. Security Deposit: A security deposit is required at the time of vehicle collection and will be held for the duration of the rental. The deposit will be released upon the safe return of the vehicle in its original condition, subject to the cancellation and damage policies outlined herein.

 

7. Insurance and Excess Options: The vehicles are covered by third-party liability insurance for material damages and bodily injuries. Bodily injuries and material damages arising from the driver's fault are not covered by third-party insurance.

All vehicles are also covered by CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) insurance. Under the standard CDW, the renter is liable for damages up to an excess amount plus applicable tax. If the cost of damage exceeds this amount, the insurance company covers the remainder.

The renter may opt for Zero Excess coverage, which eliminates personal liability for vehicle damage in the event of an accident. This option is available at an additional fee per day, charged at the time of booking or vehicle collection.

The following are not covered by any insurance under any circumstances:

• Damage to tyres, mirrors, rims, and the underside of the vehicle
• Damages occurring while the vehicle is on a boat or ferry
• Theft of personal belongings
• Damages resulting from a violation of traffic regulations

 

8. Cancellation and Refund Policy: Please refer to the Cancellation and Payment Policy page for full details. In summary:

• Cancellations made at least 30 days before the rental date: the deposit is refunded in full (any bank transfer fees are borne by the client).
• Cancellations made less than 30 days before the rental date: the deposit is non-refundable. The renter is liable for half the total cost of the cancelled days.

 

9. Vehicle Collection and Delivery: Standard vehicle collection and return takes place at our store or at Skopelos Port at no additional charge.

Collection or delivery to locations outside Skopelos Port or our store is available upon request and subject to an additional fee.

 

10. Drop-off Location: If the renter wishes to return the vehicle to a location other than the agreed collection point, this must be arranged in advance and is subject to an additional fee depending on the drop-off location.

 

11. Additional Driver: The first additional driver is free of charge. Each subsequent additional driver is subject to an additional fee per day. Any undeclared driver found operating the vehicle will be subject to a penalty charge.

 

12. Fuel Policy: The renter is required to return the vehicle with the same level of fuel as at the time of collection. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the renter will be charged for the difference. No refund is provided for vehicles returned with more fuel than at collection.

 

13. Accident Procedure: In the event of an accident, the Renter is obliged to immediately notify the company and the Police, and to present the official Police Accident Report. In the event of an accident caused by the Renter, an administrative fee will be charged to cover processing costs. The Renter should not make any admission of liability without first contacting the company.

 

14. Road Assistance: Road assistance due to vehicle malfunction is provided free of charge to all renters with active insurance coverage.

 

15. Vehicle Restrictions: The following are strictly prohibited without prior written authorisation from the company:

• Exiting Greek national borders
• Leaving the vehicle in an unauthorised or undesignated parking area
• If the vehicle is found to have been used in violation of these restrictions, a penalty fine will be applied.

 

16. Biological Cleaning: If the vehicle is returned with heavily soiled seats (sea stains, mud, or similar), the renter is responsible for the cost of professional biological cleaning.

 

17. Updates to the Agreement: Skopelos Drive Away reserves the right to update these terms at any time. The version in effect at the time of booking confirmation applies to that rental. For any questions, please contact us at skopelosdriveaway@gmail.com.
