Introduction

This page sets out the full Cancellation and Refund Policy as well as the Payment and Deposit Policy for Skopelos Drive Away. By completing a booking with us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined below.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

1. Cancellations Made 30 Days or More Before the Rental Date

If you cancel your booking at least 30 days before the scheduled rental date, your deposit will be refunded in full. Any bank transfer fees or payment processing charges incurred during the refund process are borne by the client.

2. Cancellations Made Less Than 30 Days Before the Rental Date

If you cancel your booking less than 30 days before the scheduled rental date, the deposit is non-refundable. In addition, the renter is liable for half the total cost of the cancelled rental days.

3. No-Show Policy

If the renter fails to collect the vehicle on the agreed date and time without prior notice, the booking will be treated as a late cancellation. The deposit will be forfeited and the renter will be liable for half the total cost of the rental period.

4. Early Return

If the renter returns the vehicle before the agreed return date, no refund will be issued for the unused rental days unless otherwise agreed in writing with Skopelos Drive Away prior to the start of the rental.

5. Modifications to Bookings

Requests to modify the dates or duration of a booking are subject to vehicle availability and must be made as early as possible. Modifications are not guaranteed and are at the discretion of Skopelos Drive Away. Where a modification results in a shorter rental period, the difference will not be refunded unless the request is made at least 30 days before the original rental date.

6. Cancellations by Skopelos Drive Away

In the unlikely event that Skopelos Drive Away is unable to fulfil a confirmed booking due to circumstances within our control, a full refund of all amounts paid will be issued. We will make every effort to notify the client as early as possible and, where possible, offer an alternative vehicle or rental arrangement.

In the event of cancellation due to extraordinary circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, or government-imposed restrictions affecting travel to Skopelos, we will offer a full credit or a refund at our discretion.

Cancellations must be confirmed in writing by email. The date on which we receive your written cancellation request will be used to determine the applicable refund terms.

 

PAYMENT & DEPOSIT POLICY

8. Deposit

A deposit of 30% of the total rental amount is required at the time of booking confirmation. Your booking is not considered confirmed until the deposit has been received. The remaining balance is due upon vehicle collection.

9. Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Credit card
  • Debit card
  • Cash
  • PayPal

Card and PayPal payments are processed securely. For PayPal payments, the transaction is handled directly through the PayPal platform.

10. Security Deposit

In addition to the rental payment, a security deposit is required at the time of vehicle collection. The amount of the security deposit varies depending on the vehicle category. The security deposit is held for the duration of the rental and will be released in full upon the safe return of the vehicle in its original condition, provided there are no outstanding charges, damage claims, or fines.

11. Zero Excess Option

Renters may opt for Zero Excess coverage at the time of booking or vehicle collection. This option eliminates personal financial liability for vehicle damage in the event of an accident covered by the CDW insurance. The Zero Excess option is available at an additional fee per day added to the total rental cost. This option does not cover damage to tyres, mirrors, rims, the underside of the vehicle, or any damage resulting from a violation of traffic regulations.

12. Additional Charges

The following services are subject to additional fees where applicable:

  • Vehicle collection or delivery outside Skopelos Port or our store
  • Drop-off at a location other than the agreed collection point
  • Rentals of 1 or 2 days, which are subject to adjusted pricing as they fall below the standard minimum rental period of 3 days
  • Zero Excess coverage
  • Additional drivers beyond the first
  • Biological cleaning if the vehicle is returned in an unacceptable condition

13. Traffic Fines and Penalties

All traffic fines and violations incurred during the rental period are the sole responsibility of the renter. An additional administrative fee will be charged to the renter by the company for the processing of any traffic violation or fine received after the rental period has ended.

14. Fuel

The vehicle will be provided with a full tank of fuel. The renter is required to return the vehicle with the same level of fuel. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the renter will be charged for the difference at the prevailing local fuel price. No refund is provided for vehicles returned with more fuel than at collection.
